Sleep

a drowsy infant with the eyes of a leopard
on the bed of the forest
dozes off

a child with the eyes of a fish
in the lap of the sea
nods off

little ones with starry eyes
nap on the shoulders of the sky
as they drift off

forest.
sea.
sky.
mother.

Poet

He opens a window
And scribbles a poem
On the flesh of her heart
He writes it again
Pausing at the cheeks –
At the edge of her lips
He leaves a tiny signature

In delirium –

He produces words
For all the raagas
Closing the windows –
He makes a melody out of these
At the end of the night –
He shreds his nerves
To sing a song

  • Good job, Maitri.
For ఉన్మత్త రాగాలుyou could write swooning ragas. Any case good output.
