“oh god! Let me live…”

Piles of plastic and paper

an ocean of waste

I see wet shimmering eyes

yearning for a piece of bread

Us Humans stumble and fumble

tumbling through our little lives

while hatred and religion

dividing and inducing vice

I hear helpless cries of the young and the old alike

The poor and destitute traumatized and scared to just live their life

what has the world to offer

amidst the worthless preaches and speeches

what has the world to offer

if world isn’t the land and sea

but people instead

Rays of the almighty

Glowing beams of sunshine

Through the ashen skies

I feel

Endless suffering and pain

All the prayers gone in vain

What can one offer

That the leaders wouldn’t

What can one offer

That the preachers couldn’t

When God himself has given up

And fate is not forgiving

life has become

A battle for survival

a fight for the faith

Paining times

Pitiful lives

Fighting to be alive

Through and through again

They say

life is for the living

life is for the believing

I think

life is a jest

irony at its best

I am Krishna Pranay Angara. I am a 23 yr old software engineer who shares his love for poems and art. I am an avid movie watcher and a light reader. Life fascinates me and drives me into thinking beyond just work and purpose. The Experience of feeling, interacting, and living itself makes me curious about life and matter. I think having a philosophical perspective on life makes it much more meaningful and profound. I feel that being alive is much different from just living and being. I have just started writing and I wish to see myself as a much more refined writer.
