Dynamite the temple,

unearth the artefacts

of bygone times:

the skeleton

of a kiss will turn up

that once,

in a shameful rage —

buried itself alive.

waged on yesterday

to destroy tomorrow

Lives were

Massacred here –

Now a days

we call it ‘Sacrifice’

no other word

has been sanctioned

He who utters the other —

disappears

Once upon a time,

the palaeontologist of silence

exhumed the carcass

of a genocide –

Days later,

He was found dead

Hung to ceiling.

The regime of indifference

Has within it

An auto-immune condition :

A mutating wound

That annihilates

Forgetting.
